We know that a lot of you guys are wondering why Mary J Blige didn't perform at the Grammy's with Aretha Franklin like we originally reported. Well, MediaTakeOut is hearing whispers that Aretha Franklin may have been to afraid to be on the same stage with the Queen Of Hip Hop Soul.

Here's what the NY Post is reporting:

Aretha refused to have Alicia Keys or Mary J. Blige perform," fearing she'd be upstaged, our spy said. Instead, it was a "C-list lineup" of Corinne Bailey Rae, pianist Lang Lang, BeBe and CeCe Ledisi, and Dan Aykroyd and Jim Belushi.

It's hard to imagine anyone upstaging Aretha .... Her being so big and all ...
